I svenske Norrland er det for tiden lite som minner om den globale oppvarming det snakkes så mye om. Sprengkulde med minus 35 grader og lavere gjør at togene må innstilles.
Denne høsten har de fleste medier vært fulle av stoff om global oppvarming, klimakrise osv. Klimatoppmøtet i Glasgow satte ekstra fart i rapporteringen om den krisen som ikke bare skal komme, men som verden angivelig befinner seg midt oppi her og nå.
Et sentralt element i denne påståtte krisen er som kjent dramatisk stigende temperaturer, og ikke minst skal kalde vintre være noe som hører fortiden til.
Imidlertid spiller ikke naturen selv helt på lag med alle disse spådommene. Faktisk har det vært rapportert om til dels uvanlig lave temperaturer mange steder, blant annet i Nord-Sverige. Den virkeligheten klimaaktivistene beskriver, er vanskelig å få øye på.
Sveriges Radio beretter om den til dels dramatiske kuldesituasjonen i Norrland:
I dag så ställs fyra tåg in mellan Kiruna och Luleå på grund av väldigt svår kyla. Köldgränsen är på minus 35 grader och det har varit kallare än så på sträckan, skriver SVR.
Faktisk har det vært så bitende kaldt at det er satt nye kulderekorder, noe de fleste vil mene harmonerer nokså dårlig med medienes og politikernes budskap om krisepreget varme:
Tidigare i dag hade Nikkaluokta minus 37,4 grader. Det är den kallaste novembertemperatur som noterats vid samtliga mätstationer sedan 1980.
Togtrafikken er rammet, noe som går ut over kommunikasjonstilbudet til lokalbefolkningen. Man håper å kunne få driften i gang igjen snart:
Vy tåg säger till P4 Norrbotten att man hoppas komma igång med tågtrafiken i morgon. Men den första avgången kommer vara inställd eftersom man inte kör upp något tåg senare i kväll.
Oppvarmingsbudskapet styrkes ikke av at Sveriges Radio i en annen artikkel forteller at kulderekorder helt fra 1800-tallet nå blir slått i landsdelen:
Rekordkyla i Kvikkjokk: Kallast sedan mätningarna startade på 1800-talet, forteller SVR.
Kanalen fortsetter:
Mellan klockan 19 i söndagskväll och 06 på måndagsmorgonen har det varit riktigt kallt på sina håll i länet. I Kvikkjokk/Årrenjarka uppmättes 35,7 minusgrader, ett tangerat köldrekord för stationen som upprättades 1888.
I Gällivare och Jokkmokk har det varit kallast på nästan 70 år. I Jokkmokk uppmättes minus 34,2 och i Gällivare 32,7.
Trots det var Nattavaara kyligast i länet i natt med minus 36,7 grader.
Når det nærmer seg minus 40, er man et stykke unna at «jorda koker», som en del klimaaktivister påstår.
