Under FNs klimamøter fremmes de underligste budskap. NRKs Dagsrevyen villeder med å fremstille IPCC-støttende forskere som ofrene i klimadebatten. De får ubehagelige meldinger. Men ikke et ord om IPCCs kritikere som mister eller blir fordrevet fra jobbene, ingen finansiering av forskning og grovt sjikanert og faglig diskreditert for observasjonsbasert forskning.
Dagsrevyen villeder som vanlig
et lengre innslag i beste sendetid lørdag kveld (5.11) beklaget direktøren for klimasenteret ved Meteorologisk institutt (MI), Hans Olav Hygen, og ved Bjerknessenteret (BS), Kikki Kleiven, seg sterkt over ubehagelige meldinger på sosiale medier. Begge hevder å representere konsensus om menneskeskapte klimaendringer blant forskere.
Det er muligens årsak til de påståtte ubehageligheter. For konsensus er et av tidens største ‘fake news’. Selve konsensusartikkelen (KN 78), IPCC-rapportene 2012, 2013/14 og 2021(fagdelene), de ledende modellberegnere (KN 260), observasjonsdatabasene og flere hundre artikler årlig om naturlige observasjoners dominans bekrefter dette.
Hygen sto frem på liknende måte i romjula for noen få år siden og utmalte elendigheten ved at klimaendringene reduserte verdens matvareproduksjon, et tema langt utenfor hans fagkompetanse og hans rolle som meteorolog. Og det var helt feil ifølge globale statistikker fra FNs FAO og andre rapporter som viser rekordartede avlinger og en 15% grønnere klode (KN 50).
Kleiven følger tradisjonen fra Bjerknes Senteret der de markante væravvik ofte tilskrives alarmerende klimaendringer til tross for velkjente publikasjoner og statistikker som viser normale avvik (KN 326, KN 327. KN 312). Forskningsledere står ikke opp for vitenskapen (KN 292).
Meteorologisk InstituttI (og Yr) har skrevet så mye direkte galt og villedende på sine nettsider at arkivene ble gjort utilgjengelig for offentligheten. Det fremgår tydelig av artiklene i Værstat (her og her) som ettergår MIs uetterrettelighet på en prisverdig måte.
Forfølgelse av professor Roger Pielke jr.
IPCC-kritikere opplever derimot en omfattende hets fra myndigheter og medier. NRKs påstander er bare bagateller i forhold. Et internasjonalt eksempel er den systematisk forfølgelse av Roger Pielke jr. selv om han baserer sin forskning på offentlige databaser over observasjoner og referer til IPCC konklusjoner – ikke politikeres alarmer.
Pielke var professor ved Universitetet i Colorado dit han var rekruttert som direktør for ‘Science Policy Center’ som en internasjonalt anerkjent fagkapasitet innen miljø, klima og naturkatastrofer. Han benyttes som ‘ekspert-reviewer’ ved utarbeiding av IPCCs store fagrapporter og som vitne ved høringer i ‘US Congress.’ Han legger til grunn IPCCs hypotese om drivhuseffekten (ikke hans fagfelt). Hans forskning basert på offentlige statistikker langt tilbake i tid viser at dette ikke leder til økte ekstremeffekter og heller ikke til økte kostnadsnivå på skadeomfang regnet i forhold til bruttonasjonalprodukt.
I US Congress juli 2013 hadde Obamas direktør og leder av Det hvite hus kontor for Miljø og klima, professor John Holdren, Harvard, vitnet om de store økninger av ekstremeffekter som måtte medføre kraftige klimatiltak for ‘Senate Environment and Public Works Committee’s Subcommittee’.
Etterpå vitnet prof. Pielke om sine egne og IPCCs resultater om manglende tendens til økning, noe som var pinlig for Holdren. Pinligheten ble besvart med en pressemelding fra Det hvite hus som medførte offentlig sjikane av Pielkes manglende karakter og forskning.
Innen ett år var Pielke blitt mål for twitter-mobben og kampanjer for å fjerne ham fra alle stillinger og posisjoner han hadde. Det ble reist undersøkelse imot ham, og han ble forlatt av kolleger og administratorer ved universitetet. Han ble flyttet til et lite kontor ‘på loftet’. Alle hans foredrag (Mange) ble kansellert (unntatt en demokratisk senator fra Maine, George Mitchell, ‘speaker’ ved Universitetet i Maine). Pielke ble en ‘ikke-person’ innen sitt fagfelt.
Det ble så ille at Pielke sa opp sin stilling som direktør for ‘Science Policy Center’ som han hadde blitt rekruttert til ved universitetet i Colorado, han forlot sitt departement, trakk seg tilbake fra klimaarbeid og gikk over til universitetets idrettsdepartement. Forfølgelse av IPCC-kritikere
En rekke andre IPCC-kritikere har opplevd Al Gores, politikeres, medienes og twitter-mobbens raljering fordi de fulgte vitenskapen basert på observasjoner – ikke urealistiske modellberegninger. Prisbelønnet satellittforsker Fred Singer ble søkt skandalisert i Naomi Oreskes ‘skittkasterbok’ (KN 284). Da Al Gores mentor Roger Revelle (Harvard-professor, oceanograf) publiserte klimaartikkel med Singer der de påpekte det beskjedne temperaturbidrag fra økt CO2 og fordelene for plantevekst, ble Revelle offentlig omtalt som dement.
Professor Patrick Michaels valgte å fratre sin stilling gjennom flere tiår som State Climatologist’ i Virginia, USA. Peter Ridd mistet sitt professorat i Australia fordi han påpekte at korallrevene ved ‘Great Barrier Reef’ var i godt hold. Det var korrekt, men visstnok ukollegialt, en senior innen atmosfærefysikk Murray Salby likeså (KN 27) og Willie Soon (KN 70). Listen er lang.
‘Extinction rebellions’ mange angrep, ungdom som tilgriser kjente kunstverk, punktering av alle dekkene på SUVer er resultatet av systematisk diskreditering og sjikane legitimert av myndigheter og medier. De er indoktrinert med at de skal redde verden, men bidrar til å bryte den ned slik Folkeopplysningsprogrammet om klima gjorde ved å invitere Klimarealistene til å eksponere deres vitenskapelige begrunnelse for IPCC-kritikk, mens hele opplegget var en farse (KN 235).
Konklusjon
NRK og Meteorologisk Institutt snur realiteten på hodet. Det er IPCC-kritikere som hetses, med til dels betydelige konsekvenser for deres tilværelse. Pielkes uttalelse etter over 20 års forskning innen feltet er dekkende for de faglige realiteter: «Det er snaut med bevis som indikerer at orkaner, flommer, tornadoer eller tørke er blitt hyppigere eller intense i USA og globalt. Faktisk, vi er i en god periode mhp. ekstremvær».
Observasjoner og fakta og ikke urealistiske beregningsmodeller er det beste middel for å redusere ubehagelige medlinger.
