Ekstrem kulde: Så kaldt har det vært i Norge

Selv om du synes det er isende kaldt nå, så har det vært mye verre.

Torsdag ble det målt 42,5 minusgrader på stasjonen Couvddatmohkki i Karasjok i Finnmark.
Men selv om det er iskaldt, er det ingen kulderekord.
– Det har vært målt en del lavere temperaturer tidligere, konstaterer klimaforsker Jostein Mamen ved Meteorologisk Institutt (MET) overfor Nettavisen.

Lørdag morgen er det ruskevær i fjellet, men nå kommer kulda for alvor. Finn frem det varmeste vintertøyet!

Nå starter en lengre kuldeperiode: – Blir liggende en stund
Det er kuldegrader de fleste steder i landet – og det ser ikke ut til å gi seg med det første.
KULDEGRADER: I Sør-Norge er det Folldal kommune i Østerdalen som har det kaldest. Der startet dagen med 27,9 kuldegrader.

Etter en forsmak på våren mange steder i landet, er det igjen behov for å finne frem vinterfrakken.
Med unntak av ytterst på kysten i Vestland og Rogaland, meldes det om minusgrader, sier statsmeteorolog Magnus Ovhed.
Ifølge statsmeteorologen er dette starten på en lengre kuldeperiode. Det skal være kaldt hele uken, og kanskje også ut i neste uke.
– Det er kommet kald luftmasse fra ishavet og det blir liggende en stund.
Ovhed forteller at det kan komme noen blaff med mildvær lengst sør, men at kuldeperioden vil merkes over hele landet.
I Øystre Slidre i Innlandet var det 15 minusgrader mandag morgen. – Det var vindstille og fint, men etter en times tid var det greit å komme seg inn igjen slik at kalde føtter og tær kunne tines, skriver fotografen.

Kaldest i nord
Det var finnmarkingene som våknet til de laveste temperaturene i morges.
Kaldest var det på Cuovddatmohkki på Finnmarksvidda. Der ble det målt 34,1 minusgrader natt til i dag.
Cuovddatmohkki er en grend som ligger sørvest for Karasjok, nesten 300 meter over havet.
I Kautokeino viste gradestokken 28,6 grader mandag morgen.

Det er ikke første gang det er kaldt for innbyggerne på Finnmarksvidda. Kulderekorden her til lands er fra 1886 da det ble målt hele 51,4 blå i Karasjok.
I Sør-Norge er det Folldal kommune i Østerdalen som har det kaldest. Der startet dagen med 27,9 kuldegrader.
Også i indre strøk i Nordland er det ventet ned mot minus 30 grader.
