Global oppvarming
I 1958 begynte Charles Keeling å overvåke konsentrasjon av CO2 i atmosfæren. I håp om å finne et stabilt bakgrunnsnivå, startet Keeling målinger på fjellet Mauna Loa, Hawaii. Så viste det seg, at bakgrunnsnivået for CO2, vokste hvert år. Denne veksten i CO2, måtte komme fra et sted. Forklaringen ble, at kilden var forbrenning av fossilt brennstoff. Planteliv, som hadde samlet opp CO2 over millioner av år, var omformet til fossilt brennstoff, og nå tilbakeført til atmosfæren.
I 1960-årene kom digitale datamaskiner, som den nye vin i vitenskapen. Med datamaskiner begynte en å lage klimamodeller, for å studere virkningen av CO2-vekst i atmosfæren. Atmosfæren virker som en persienne for stråling fra solen. I 1978 begynte NASA satellittbaserte målinger. En feil på satellitten, førte til at NASA mistet data for årene 1986-1992. (Red.anm: Prof. Solheim bidrar her med ytterligere detaljer: Challenger ulykken i 1986 førte til at ACRIM2 oppskytingen ble forsinket, slik at det ble et opphold i presise målinger).
Et institutt i Sveits løste problemet, ved å lage en modell (PMOD), som fylte gapet i måleserien. (Prof. Solheim legger til: PMOD-serien (Judy Lean) ble begrunnet med at det måtte lages en serie som ikke viste økt solinnstrålingen ved slutten av århundret. Det kunne svekke fortellingen om CO2-utslipp som grunn til oppvarming. Red.anm: Solfysikere som Willson og Scafetta mener PMOD-modellen ikke er vitenskapelig). Resultatet av PMOD-modellen, ble at middelverdien for hele måleserien, ble framstilt som tilnærmet konstant. Solen ble da oppfattet som en stabil varmekilde, til vår moder jord.
Temperaturen på vår planet, har ingen middelverdi. I 1978 ble det, for første gang, laget en dataserie, som representerte en global temperatur. Dataserien var basert på målinger og beregninger i et globalt rutenett, som ble samlet via en modell. Den nye måleserien viste at global temperatur hadde steget 0,8 grader, på 157 år. Kloden var under oppvarming. Når stråling fra solen var konstant, ble forklaringen akkumulert varme i jordens atmosfære. Fra 1980 var der en sammenheng mellom CO2 og global oppvarming (se figuren under, red.anm.). Dette bekreftet teorien om drivhuseffekten. Drivhuseffekten ble akseptert, med konsensus, av utvalgte forskere i FN´s klimapanel. Global temperatur, før industriell tid på 1800-tallet, ble nå betraktet som et normalt klima. Menneskeskapt utslipp av klima-gasser, fra fossilt brennstoff, hadde løftet global temperatur 0,8 grader. Klimamodeller beregnet, at dersom utslipp av CO2 fortsetter, vil vi få en global oppvarming på 5-7 grader (red.anm: 5-7 grader inkluderer modellering av observerte dempende tilbakekoblinger, som forsterkende tilbakekoblinger) framover mot år 2100.
Geopolitisk klimapolitikk
I 2007 fikk Al Gore Nobels fredspris for filmen «An Inconvenient Truth», der han framstilte rekkevidden av global oppvarming. Frykten for global oppvarming, skapte frykt for framtiden. Rekkevidden av en global oppvarming ble daglig videreformidlet i media, og frykten festet seg blant ungdom og politikere. I 2015 hadde FN´s klimapanel møte i Paris. Klimapanelet hadde levert en rapport, som fortalte at verden var truet av global oppvarming. De skyldige var rike I-land. De hadde skapt sin rikdom, ved å utvikle en karbonbasert industri. En karbonfri industri, som vil påføre U-land enorme kostnader. I-landene hadde skapt problemet. I-landene måtte betale prisen. Over bordet foreslår USA´s utenriksminister Hillary Clinton, at prisen skal være 100 milliarder US Dollar pr år (fra 2020, red.anm.). Tallet ble tatt ut av luften, som et passende stort rundt tall. Beløpet skulle gå til U-land, for å bygge opp en karbonfri industri. Dette var ikke U-hjelp, men en erstatning for påført global oppvarming, over 100 år. En ny karbonfri elektrisk industri, skulle redusere utslipp av CO2, slik at framtidig global oppvarming, vokste bare 1.5-2.0 grader (Wall Street Journal, Podcast 4.nov. 2021).
I juni 2017 vedtok Stortinget Klimaloven, med tilslutning fra universitetene og næringslivets organisasjoner. Loven lovfestet målet om lavutslippssamfunnet i 2050. Formålet var langsiktig omstilling, i klimavennlig retning. Klimagassutslippene skulle reduseres med 80-95 prosent. Stortinget hadde lovfestet å redusere global temperatur, på vår moder jord. Virkemiddelet for å nå 0-utslipp-samfunnet skulle være reindustrialisering og elektrifisering. Elektrisk karbonfri energi, skulle utvikles og utprøves i I-land, for et globalt marked. Elektrifisering av industrien, skapte stor entusiasme rundt store pengeverdier, hos store kapitalforvaltere, store industrielle aktører og store forskningsprosjekter. Når staten hadde lovfestet å redusere utslipp av klimagasser, var det staten som måtte ta risikoen og kostnadene ved en grønn reindustrialisering. En kostnad, som staten belastet skattebetalere.
Statskanalen NRK skrev på sin web-side 28.01.2020. «Den rådende vitenskapen fra FNs klimapanel skal være utgangspunktet – nullpunktet – for journalistikken. Det skal ikke være opp til hver enkelt journalist å avgjøre dette. Det er en vanskelig materie å gå inn i». I Aftenposten, 29.01.2020, slår rektorer fra 3 universiteter og ledere fra 10 forskningsinstitutter, fast «Tre uomtvistelige fakta», om CO2 og menneskeskapt global oppvarming. Alternative oppfatninger, var ikke diskuterbart i media og i akademia, i herrens år 2020.
Høsten 2021, forteller vår nye statsminister, at klima er et eksistensielt problem. Vi skal leve av å redde klimaet, og åpner samtidig for at pensjonsfondet skal kunne brukes, til å utvikle ny grønn industri. Utprøving av grønn industri skjer nå i Europa. Europa opplever en ustabil energiproduksjon, med ustabile energipriser, som varierer med vær og vind. Når Tyskland nå avvikler sine atomkraftverk, ligger forholdene til rette, for en varig energikrise, og en gradvis avindustrialisering av Europa.
Tvilens mor
I naturvitenskapen, er konsensus, tvilens mor. De første som advarte mot å stole for mye på klimamodellene, var klimapanelets egne forskere. Allerede i klimapanelets tredje rapport fra 2001, står der bl.a «Klimasystemet er et koblet ikke-lineært kaotisk system, og derfor er det ikke mulig å forutsi langsiktige fremtidige eksakte klima tilstander». I 2018 ble det publisert en evaluering av de mest avanserte klimamodellene (Kravstov et al. 2018). Ingen av modellene kunne gjenskape global oppvarming fra 1850. Når klimamodellene ikke kan beregne framtidig klima, kan en heller ikke styre framtidig klima.
Etter noen år, får en bedre faktagrunnlag, via flere og lengre måleserier. Etter 60 år med målinger, har der vært en sammenheng mellom CO2 og global temperatur i bare 20 år (red.anm., se figuren over for CO2/Mauna Loa vs temp.anomalier/HadCRUT4). I de siste 30 år, har global oppvarming steget bare 0.17 grader per dekade (www.climate4you.com/).
I 2014 presenterte leder NASA en publikasjon som viste at midlere stråling fra solen varierer over tid (Richard C. Willson, 2014). Den har variert 0.3% over 300 år (Red.anm: Wilsons tall er ignorert av Klimapanelet i årets hovedrapport, hvor man hevder solen ikke har bidratt målbart til klimaendringer etter førindustriell tid).
Data fra iskjerneprøver viste at stråling fra solen har hatt periodiske endringer over 1000 år. Perioder med minimum stråling fra solen, er nå oppkalt etter solforskere. Iskjerneprøver forteller oss, at CO2 vekst i atmosfæren, startet på 1600 tallet, i den kaldeste klimaperioden på 4000 år. Global oppvarming av havet, styrer veksten av CO2 til atmosfæren. 1800-tallet var ingen normal klimaperiode, perioden avsluttet Den Lille Istid. 1900-tallet var en av flere varmere klimaperioder, innenfor en samlet tidsperiode på 1000 år.
Klimaets signatur
Baron Fourier oppdaget for 200 år siden, at dataserier har et unikt frekvensspekter. En signatur som avslører kilden til temperaturendringer i dataserien. Lord Kelvin studerte signaturen til tidevannstabellene for innsegling til London. Da han oppdaget signaturen til månen, kunne han i 1872 lage en mekanisk datamaskin, som beregnet tidevannet ett år framover i tid. Da digitale datamaskiner kom, ble det utviklet bedre algoritmer for å analysere dataserier. Fra 1960-årene, og fram til vår tid, er det publisert en omfattende litteratur, som viser signaturen til solsystemet i dataserier for lufttemperatur, havoverflate temperatur, nedbør, utbredelse av arktisk is, iskjerneprøver fra Grønland, osv. Dataseriene har en signatur som kan tilbakeføres til månen, solen og planetene. Solsystemet setter sitt fingeravtrykk på endringer i naturen. Signaturene viser at klimaet har ingen normal tilstand. Klimaet har variasjoner, fra timer til 1000-er av år.
I 1980-årene ble det utviklet nye metoder for å analysere dataserier fra oljeleting. Fra ca 2000 ble metodene benyttet til å studere hvordan klimaets signatur, forårsaker kalde og varme klimaperioder. Lord Kelvin kunne beregne framtidig tidevann fordi forholdet mellom månen, solen og jorden, har forutsigbare perioder. Forutsigbare perioder i klima dataserier, forteller at den globale oppvarming på 1900-tallet, er et resultat av klima-perioder styrt av månen og solen. Varme klimaperioder, etterfølges av kalde klimaperioder. En videreføring, viser at vi kan få en ny kald klimaperiode, allerede i dette århundret, som kan vare i 100 år (Yu et al. 2011; Yndestad and Solheim 2017; Zharkova 2020). Isbreer kommer tilbake, slik de har gjort flere ganger, over en periode på 1000 år.
Forhastet klimapolitikk
Det er åpenbart, at vi har fått en forhastet klimapolitikk, som har skapt et forhastet grunnlag for grønn industrialisering. Bedre dataserier og bedre analysemetoder, har endret perspektivet på vår forståelse av klimaendringer. Fra et lukket systemperspektiv der klimaet er styrbart, til et åpent perspektiv der solsystemet er herre over klimaendringer, på vår moder jord. Det betyr at vi må få en bedre systemforståelse av klimaendringer, som et dynamisk system. Omtrent som vi i dag forstår tidevannets korte og lange perioder. Det er forståelsen av klima som et dynamisk system, som må danne grunnlag, for forvalting av økosystemer, vannressurser, energiproduksjon, matproduksjon, osv, over varme og kalde klimaperioder.
