FN-sjefen Antonio Guterres brukte krigsretorikk da han presenterte den nye klimarapporten. Dette føyer seg inn i en rekke av ikke materialiserte klima-alarmer fra IPCC gjennom 30 år. Guterres burde heller ha fortalt om gode nyheter, for det alvorligste scenariet fra forrige rapport, som var regnet som mest sannsynlig, er nå nedgradert. I tillegg vet vi at klimamodellene feiler og at også attribusjonsmetodene feiler, der IPCC hevder å kunne finne fingeravtrykket av CO2-utslippene på de enkelte tilfellene av ekstremvær.
Med overskriften ‘Kode Rød for Menneskeheten’ fortalte FN-sjefen at milliarder av mennesker står overfor en ‘umiddelbar’ risiko, og at vi kan unngå en katastrofe bare om vi handler i løpet av de kommende måneder.
Avisen The Guardian forsterket budskapet og sa at «menneskeheten er skyldig som bare helvete» og skrev om «menneskehetens klimaforbrytelser».
Falsk Alarm
Dr. Roger Pielke jr. er en ekspert på naturlige katastrofer og uttaler ‘Ikke bare er dette feil, det er uansvarlig. Ikke noe sted i rapporten heter det at milliarder mennesker står overfor en umiddelbar risiko’. Uttrykket ‘Kode Rød’ finnes heller ikke. Legg merke til at Guterres er politiker og ikke forsker, og han bruker krigsretorikk for å fremme sitt budskap og øke presset på politikere uten reell klimakompetanse eller med ubrytelig konformisme og selvsensur.
Pielke jr. hevder ganske treffende at Guterres heller burde ha sagt ‘Gode nyheter! Det mest alvorlige scenariet fra forrige rapport i 2013 ikke lenger er så sannsynlig som vi trodde’. For det ekstreme scenariet RCP8.5 fra den forrige rapporten har nå blitt nedgradert til å være lite sannsynlig. Dette er en U-sving som ligger skjult i den underliggende fagrapporten.
Ideologisk kamp mot kapitalismen
Klimasaken har lenge hatt en politisk slagside som kommer til syne i FNs klimaorganisasjon, med ledere som helt fra 1988 systematisk bygde en konsensus om at klimaendringene i hovedsak er menneskeskapte. De politiske anstrengelsene for å redde klimaet er tett koblet til en ideologisk kamp mot kapitalismen.
Christiana Figueres, som inntil for et par år siden var leder for «UN Framework Convention on Climate Change» har uttalt: «Dette er den første gangen i menneskehetens historie at vi setter oss selv det målet at vi med hensikt, innen en bestemt tidsperiode, skal endre den økonomiske utviklingsmodellen som har styrt de siste 150 år, etter den industrielle revolusjonen.»
Den 13. november 2010 sa Dr. Ottmar Endenhofer (IPCC) i et intervju «Vi (FN-IPCC) omfordeler faktisk verdens rikdom gjennom klimapolitikk … Man må fri seg fra illusjonen om at internasjonal klimapolitikk er miljøpolitikk. Dette har fra nå av nesten ikke noe å gjøre med miljøpolitikk.»
FN-skremsler siden 1972
FN-ledere har de siste 30 årene kommet med alvorlige advarsler om en nært forestående klimakrise, men dette har aldri slått til, og statistikken over ekstremvær og velferdsindikatorer for menneskeheten tyder på at vi ikke står overfor noen krise denne gangen heller.
I 1972 sa FN-utsendingen Maurice Strong at sivilisasjonen nå betaler prisen for sin ustoppelige arroganse mot naturen, og at sterke krefter har blitt satt i gang som, om de ikke blir holdt i tømme av en helt ny type globalt samarbeid, vil bli like ødeleggende i det lange løp som en kjernefysisk holocaust.
I 1989 hevdet N. Brown i FNs miljøprogram at regjeringene bare har «et 10-års mulighetsvindu til å løse drivhuseffekten før den går utenfor menneskelig kontroll.»
I 2021 gir Guterres oss det endelige budskapet. Nå har vi kniven på strupen! Advarslene når et klimaks i lanseringen av den nye Summary for Policymakers, eller SPM, som er basert på klimamodeller og attribusjonsmetoder som feiler og hyppig omtale av ekstreme og helt urealistiske utslippsscenarioer.
Hva er realitetene ?
En fagfellevurdert artikkel publisert i International Journal of Global Warming har identifisert 79 ‘apokalyptiske’ forutsigelser som har vært formulert siden 1970 av forskere og aktivister som ‘forutsier kataklysmiske hendelser som skriver seg fra ‘katastrofale klimaendringer’. Av disse ‘virkelig apokalyptiske forutsigelser’ har allerede 48 slått feil. De siste 31 er sannsynligvis like gale, men sluttdatoene har ikke utløpt ennå, siden apokalypsen alltid er 20 år unna.
Det er et faktum at det ikke eksisterer noen klimakrise. Perioden fra 2010 til 2019 har vært det beste tiåret for menneskeheten noensinne. Den gode utviklingen gjennom de siste 25 år fortsetter. I denne perioden har verdens sult gått ned med 40 %, fattigdom med 74 %, analfabetisme med 56 %. Dødsfall pga klimarelaterte hendelser i verden har sunket med mer enn 90 % de siste 100 år.
Kloden blir stadig grønnere, hovedsakelig fordi det er mer av plantematen CO2 i atmosfæren. Mer CO2 gir bedre plantevekst. Det blir mer vegetasjon, og dermed mer dyreliv. På én generasjon har jordas grøntareal økt med et areal som tilsvarer et helt nytt kontinent, dobbelt så stort som USA.
Dette er svært godt nytt for kloden. Matvareproduksjonen øker, både fordi det er mer CO2, og fordi vår innovasjon driver utviklingen i denne retningen. Kornavlingene er firedoblet siden 1960, og prognosene framover er meget gode. Hovedsakelig på grunn av økt innhold av CO2 i atmosfæren, ga perioden 1961 – 2011 et ekstra landbruksutbytte på jorda, verdt 3200 milliarder US Dollar. For perioden 2012 – 2050 er den tilsvarende gevinsten estimert til 9 800 milliarder US Dollar.
Konklusjon
Gjennom de siste 30 år har det fra IPCC kommet alarmbudskap som aldri har materialisert seg. En fagartikkel forteller at alle varsler fra IPCC om kommende kriser har slått feil. Når vi samtidig vet at klimamodellenes temperaturfremskrivninger feiler og at metodene for fingeravtrykkdeteksjon av CO2-utslipp også feiler, samt at det siste tiåret fra 2010 – 2019 er det beste for menneskeheten noensinne, så bør ingen ta Guterres alvorlig.
